SFA Saniflo USA donates to National Alliance on Mental Illness to help support mental health awareness

Recent monetary donations to the National Alliance on Mental Health will help remove barriers and provide access to support individuals and families affected by mental illness.

EDISON, NJ (OCTOBER 24, 2023) — As part of the company’s ongoing mission to provide comfort in individuals’ daily lives, SFA Saniflo USA, a division of Group SFA, and the world leader in above-the-floor macerating and grinding toilets and drain pumps, has donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to provide care to all individuals and families affected by mental illness.

“There are so many barriers people face when they seek care for their mental health,” says Daniel H. Gillison, NAMI chief executive officer. “Stigma, cost, lack of culturally competent treatment, and a shortage of providers often prevent people from getting the help they deserve. Tackling these barriers is more critical now than ever before.”

Saniflo’s donation will support NAMI’s efforts to provide education, resources, and public awareness to the challenges millions of Americans impacted daily by mental health conditions face.

Founded by a small group of families in 1979, NAMI has grown to be the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. With over 600 local affiliates and 49 state organizations, NAMI works within communities to provide support groups, education programs, and care to those affected by mental illness. NAMI also works to fight stigmatizations of mentally ill by hosting public awareness events such as Mental Health Week and shaping national policy.
